Are they not just a great invention?? not only can they give you reason to spend hours doing googles searches to find out if they are causing bloatedness and cramp, but you also have the luxury of feeling like you are constantly dripping in your knickers.
I am now 4 days pIUI......so of course too early to tell anything, but I swing between positive and negative outlooks, I try to hold the thought that I could be one of those really lucky people where it works first time, but then I kinda have a reality check that reminds me it took 8 attempts last time, and I am actually about as fertile as a wall, to add to this is seems all those people around me get pregnant by just clicking their fingers........
roll on the next 8 days......

Is it different ???
No !!
Despite all the promises I made to myself, I cannot help but obsess, I am 1 DPI, and have already done countless searches, on egg size, sperm quality and quantity, sperm survival rates, when conception would occur etc etc etc.
What a great start to the 2 ww !!!!!

Trying Again
Exactly 4 yrs 4 months and 13 days ago I gave birth to Alfred, this was after 8 IUI's, we decided to start trying for a second child about 2.5 years ago, and have since had 2 attempts at IVF with fresh eggs and 3 with frozen, and no luck we are now back on the roller coaster using the IUI method, but this time things will be different !!

From the mouth of a four year old
Ok now we have survived the first week of the school holidays and and crashing through the second week, but, have you ever wondered where children find that amazing gift of coming up with the most uplifting or maybe more appropriately the most self esteem crushing comments that you could ever imagine.
The first week involved the usual over-due hair cut ordeal, first up was my son, who for some reason when put on a hair dresser's stool, dentist chair or similar thing has an inability to sit still, but if you tilt your head to one side when looking at him, it's really not that bad.
When it got to my turn of course he's bored and you are just hoping they can just get enough style in your hair so that you are not mistaken for a wild animal and shot when walking in the forest, and then get out of the place before any real damage is done.
Once the hairdresser had finished he turns to my son and asks " ís mama's hair beautiful now " my son replies, " Not beautiful, no, but better I guess"
Determined to enjoy this short lived style in my hair, I feel encouraged enough to shop for summer clothes, (yes i'm an eternal optimist and am still expecting a summer)
I had decided for the first time in years I would buy a summer dress, so I got into the changing room with what i though my just be the perfect dress for summer, got it on and asked my son, "what do you think? " he says '' Oh it's nice, is it for cooking in ?" So I say no, it's not, he then suggests "oh for working in the garden then?" Needless to say the dress went back on the shelf and we went home.
Is this ability to say the wrong thing at the wrong time an inherent thing built in to a man prior to birth ?
